Where can I find a hidden/covert outdoor security camera? I've been searching the net trying to find the perfect hidden camera to monitor the front of my house. There's been burglaries in the neighborhood and just the other day some bastard busted up my car window and stole my speakers and amp. Just so I can have some piece of mind, I'd like to look into a security/surveilance camera. I want something that can be hidden and doesn't look like a camera. I'd love to find something I could put in a potted plant out front, or something like that. The best thing I've found so far is a Flood Light that's a Hidden Camera, but it's non-functional and I have to have some kind of lighting in my driveway so that's not practical for me. Any ideas?
question about security cameras in Hotel rooms? Hello, This might be a really silly question, but here goes. When you stay in an upscale hotel, do they ever have hidden security cameras in the rooms? I'm asking because my girlfriend and I would be really embarrassed potentially if that is the case. Maybe Im just being paranoid but if there are cameras, do they ever randomly check on rooms and laugh if they see people doing something (ahem). What can you tell me?
hidden security cameras? do any hidden servalance camare record onto a chip that is not hook into anything or are there any that record from the camera to a hard drive without a computer or monitor present and how many hours of video can be stored on them
I need a hidden security camera for my city front yard what shall I do ? OK, I live in the city so don't have a ton to cover and my back yard is fenced, but I have a lovely neighbor, who is "insane" and he comes over when I'm gone and walks by and pulls out my plants, I raise and sell flowers. I don't have much money but I'd like to buy some type of movement activated pinhole type camera and turn him in to the police. He is an electronics buff himself, so if I put it up I will have to make sure he can't see it. This has been going on for years, and I'm sick of it. any suggestions ? I have no idea where to start but I want it legally on video. and so I can show it to him and show him I know what he is doing,. He does it in the day time but is very casual and sneaky about it as if he is picking a flower and pulls up the whole 3 ft. tall flower plant in the summer about 3 years ago. someone came into my very exposed and open front yard and dug up a huge poppy plant between 10-noon in the middle of the day, I don't think he would hesistate to dismantle anything he can see!!! But I suppose if he had to climb up on my roof, that might be a bit too obvious huh >?
is it illegal to have hidden cameras in schools? I live in california and attend a public school. There are security cameras on campus that are very visable. Lately there has been a rash of thieving. I know the person that stole, and i dont want them to get caught; however i heared that there was a "hidden camera" the room, where property was taken. Is it illegal to have a hidden camera in a public school, and if so what if its called "evidence"? can it be dissmissed, or will it uphold in court? since it is illegal, what can i do about it? can i demand to see the camera? but none of my rights were broken when they installed the hidden camera without notifying me? even if im a minor?
Question about security cameras and work place? I work in a small home town restaurant that has been telling their employees that they have a security camera. to monitor the help and customers. my question is, don't they have to post somewhere in the building that it is being monitored, also they say the cameras are hidden. Is that ethical?

Is the school allowed to put security cameras in the bathroom? We had a school meeting today and the principal stated that over the summer we have had security cameras installed all around the school do to some past incidents from other local school districts. He said that "Some are visible and some are hidden, but the school security of NY state is now always going to be watching from these cameras every day." I was just wondering if they were allowed to install cameras in the bathrooms? Is that even legal?
how do i hide a security camera? i have a security camera (no smaller than my thumbnail) and im afraid of how my maid cooks my food for my kids. once when they asked for popcorn, i walked in the kitchen and she took her hand of the bowl of popcorn... how do i hide the camera?
Hidden cameras at work? At my work, we have security cameras in plane sight, a sign on the door that says the place is under video surveillance.... Its more of a deterrent, but there are blind spots and things get vandalized. Someone is also sneaking in at night.... Trying to figure out if we can put up some hidden cameras (like the ones that look like clocks). In rooms that already have the cameras, just to cover the blind spots......is that legal People are actually disabling the security camera......ripping out the wires and then i have an electrical hazard.........those type of blind spots for instance.
Are There Hidden Cameras in Hollister or Abercrombie?? I know there are security cameras in the stock rooms but i have heard from some loss prevention guy that there are hidden cameras out on the floor too! i dont know if he was just playing around or being serious.. thats why im asking you guys
miniature wireless security camera? Where could someone purchase a miniature wireless security camera that works decently? At least good enough to tell who's doing what. I have some strange, unexplainable things happening inside and outside my home and am trying to determine what is going on. I have located things for outside the home, but haven't came up with a affordable miniature wireless security camera or even a hidden camera of some sort for inside the home. Any Ideas?
What should I do If I found a hidden security cam in the fitting room? Recently I was stopped at a department store because security thought that I had lifted clothing and placed it into my shopping bags. I couldn't even understand why they would have thought of this in the first place because my bags were in underneath the stroller. I showed them my recipts...etc. Then it hit me...the only I time I took anything out or in my bags were when I was when I was in the fitting stall trying on my clothes. I wanted to find a top that matched with my capris that I purchased from ANOTHER STORE....If they were watching what I was doing in the fitting room it probably looked like I was placing THEIR merchandise into my store bags. I just might be paranoid but...still I can't help but wonder if I should go back and check to see if they have cameras that go into the stalls...and If I find something how to I get evidence to show the police?

Is there a type of cheap security camera that can record my dad looking at porn in the act and alert my mom? My dad has been looking at porn (even when my mom is sitting right there on the couch next to the recliner) and I can easily see his screen from where I sit in the dinning room on my comp, and I've told my mom before and she believes me because she has found it all over the harddrive on his old computers. My dad claims his Mac doesn't have histroy even though I saw the option in the toolbar, and he clicks on it and its all gone, because he deleted it! We have an open counterspace which the chair is pushed up againest and whenever I walk into the kitchen he quickly closes the screen or switches pages. And whenever I accuse him hedenys it and gets extremely defensive, my dad has even cheated on my mom before. WHat is a great small (cheap) security camera I can set up on the counter, hidden beneath something and record my dad in the act to show my mom? My dad knows about all those spy program so they won't work... he never leaves his comp alone an its password protected. My moms been planning a devoice for a while but he got rid of the papers before my mom even got to sign them or anything, he lies about my mom spending all this money to his parents, and he spends the money so we can't spend any of it, even for food.

Who thinks WalMart goes too far with surveillance? Security Cameras, RFID Spychips??? The other day I was at Wal Mart and I noticed that there was a tiny hidden camera behind some products on the shelves. It kind of made me think...do they have cameras at every angle possible? I think it's an invasion of privacy. Of course I don't shoplift and never will, but it's a little strange that they're hiding spy cameras in their shelves. I've been doing research and found that they have some really strange ways of watching their customers.
hidden cameras in back rooms? so i went to go hang out with my friend who works at a very popular clothing store last night, and when we were hanging out in her room she pulls out five trash bags full of clothes from where she works and told me she got it all for free. Apparently one of the managers quit and they had a going away party in the back room, and he told them all that they could use the censors to take off the security things and just take all they wanted, he didnt care. Almost the entire staff did the same thing and tons of people made out with hundreds maybe thousands of dollars of clothes. So my question is are there cameras they dont know about? I of course wasn't a part of this and I feel like this is very wrong of them theyre going to get caught. They're idiots and karma will come around if nothing else.

insurance? Tired of constantly being broke & stuck in an un- happy marriage, a young husband decided to solve both problems by taking out a large insurance policy on his wife with himself as the beneficiary, & then arranging to have her killed. A 'friend of a friend' put him in touch with a nefarious dark-side underworld figure who went by the name of 'Artie.' Artie then explained to the husband that his going price for snuffing out a spouse was £5,000. The husband said he was willing to pay that amount, but that he wouldn't have any cash on hand until he could collect his wife's insurance money. Artie insisted on being paid at least something up front, so the man opened his purse, displaying the single coin that rested inside. Artie sighed, rolled his eyes, & reluctantly agreed to accept the 50p as down payment for the dirty deed. A few days later, Artie followed the man's wife to the local Tesco store. There, he surprised her in the produce department & proceeded to strangle her with his gloved hands & as the poor unsuspecting woman drew her last breath & slumped to the floor. The manager of the produce department stumbled unexpectedly onto the murder scene. Unwilling to leave any living witnesses behind, ol'Artie had no choice but to strangle the produce manager as well. However, unknown to Artie, the entire proceedings were captured by the hidden security cameras & observed by the store's security guard, who immediately called the police. Artie was caught & arrested before he could even leave the store. Under intense questioning at the police station, Artie revealed the whole sordid plan, including his unusual financial arrange- ments with the hapless husband who was also quickly arrested. The next day in the newspaper, the headline declared............. (You're going to hate me for this . . ) "ARTIE CHOKES TWO FOR 50p AT TESCO!" slk29406 I am not Susie

What are your instincts telling you about this? Free-speech zones. Taser guns. Hidden cameras. Data mining. A new security curriculum. Private security contractors. Welcome to the homeland security campus. From Harvard to UCLA, the ivory tower is fast becoming the latest watchtower in Fortress America. The terror warriors, having turned their attention to "violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism prevention"--as it was recently dubbed in a House of Representatives bill of the same name--have set out to reconquer that traditional hotbed of radicalization, the university. My brother is stealing money from me - what should I do? Okay, well I'm 14 years old and have a part-time job. My brother is 16 and does not work. However, he keeps getting money somehow, and I keep losing it. I am 99.9999% sure that he is stealing from me now. On Thursday, I put $43 into my wallet. The next day, I only had $3. All I had done in that time was go to school. I am 100% sure that I did not spend any of it, and I had not touched my wallet since I put the money in. No one at school knows that I have the wallet either. My brother sleeps from 3PM-12AM, but I sleep from 9PM-6AM. That means he is awake when I am asleep, which gives him the perfect opportunity to take my money. What should I do about it? My dad thinks that he's stealing as well, but refuses to do anything without evidence. At this point, he's stolen over $140 from me, which is a lot to me because I am only 14 and so I am only allowed to work 10 hours a week! It is really pissing me off. At this point, I'm thinking of installing a hidden security camera, but I'd.. like to choose another alternative which is less expensive. I have confronted him many times, and he has denied stealing anything. He even tries turning it on me by saying "well, I don't trust you either" even though he has no reason to not trust me. My dad says that he is a "sociopath", which is why he doesn't care that he's stealing from his little sister. I'm really worried about my money. And I really hate my brother (for this and a lot of other reasons). Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. notyou311 - Thank you for your input. I already have a bank account, and he's stealing the money whenever I withdraw cash. However, you have given me an idea. Maybe I could get a credit card or debit card and just not have cash? Then he can't use my money without me knowing. Also, about my dad...I do wish that he'd be more strict, but I know that he's just trying to be fair. Like, if my brother suddenly went "Oh, Kayley stole money from me" he wouldn't want to suddenly blame me either. everyone else - Thanks for your input as well! I think that putting a lock on my door might be even more expensive than buying a camera, but maybe I could get a vault or something to put my money in if I can't get it on a card. All of the answers so far have been great, and I might have found a solution, but I'm going to leave the question open for a little longer in case anyone else has something to put in. westgaliberty - Thanks for your input! He doesn't really steal from my dad because my dad doesn't make his money readily available (I don't have a mom). He keeps his money with him. I think that when my brother steals from him, it's just small things like keeping change from food money and finding loose bills or change. I actually haven't put the wallet in my bedroom. It's downstairs, where it's readily available. I know that it makes it easier for him to steal, but my question is more about how to feel like my money is safe in my own home. Even if I started putting it in my room, the problem would still be there, because I shouldn't have to put my money in my room.
HOB security? if you've ever been to the house of blues in orlando what was the security like and how recent was it? i'm going to a concert there and last time i went they were really strict about cameras. they even used those wand things. how should i hide my camera?
How many people think there should be security guards for EVERY school placed at any unlocked door? I'm still amazed that my kids schools don't have some sort of security protection besides a few hidden cameras. You can just simply walk up to the door, walk in and if your a bad guy/girl who knows what can very easily happen! There's bouncers in bars yet no one to watch the schools during school hours when children are inside? To those people who think I'm being over protective or insane. I personally don't care what it LOOKS like and yes, I would send my kids to school there because I'd know they are being looked after and guarded and a guy in a uniform doesn't intimidate me. I care more about my kids safety so I'd be likely to send my kids there more than any other place and maybe the school's in YOUR area have to go right through the office's but that's not so in my area. What's a secretary and a principal going to do against an armed man anyway? Give me a break! I care about my kids and I don't care if I do sound over protective and silly to you, I'd rather sound a certain way then be stupid and not try everything I can to protect MY kids! Sidenote:We live in a different world and time than we did even ten years ago. Like it or not, there is more violence and deaths. And no, it's not just because we are hearing more about it either! There IS! If malls, bars and every other place can have bouncers and security guards, the schools should be our FIRST priority! Our children attend there everyday! And while on the subject. The metal detectors sound great also! They do it in airports! I'll do anything to protect my kids! Also, no one said anything about kids NOT needing to be taught at home by their parents and how it starts at home. ITA. It does start at home but that's no reason NOT to have security in our schools!
Does anyone out there know about surveillance camera systems? Hi, I want to set up a wireless security camera monitor system for my house. What and what do I need to do this. I want a system that is pretty much hidden, uneasily detectable, possibly stuck in the ceiling or wall and if possible inviscible and wireless. What and what equipments do I need to achieve this. What do I need to buy? Can I use my present computer monitor for this or do I need a special kind of monitor. I guess this is a technical question for computer oriented guys. Please recommend the cheapest you know. Thanksbb
What happens to the stuff security takes? I've noticed that security has a habit of calling expensive or valuable items "dangerous". ("Is that a fancy camera? Not allowed on the plane. Oh, and this Rolex can't go either, and you're just hiding something in that fur coat..." etc.) Do they just get to keep all the stuff they confiscate? Sometimes they seem really insistent on taking certain items, even if they are obviously not dangerous. Ok. maybe I was exaggerating about the fur coats, but they definitely do sometimes steal watches and cameras in addition to anything else they want that they can get away with saying looks suspicious.
Proof of what can happen if a wife or girlfriend drags her husband or? This letter was recently sent by Tesco's Head Office to a customer in Oxford: Dear Mrs. Murray, While we thank you for your valued custom and use of the Tesco Loyalty Card, the Manager of our store in Banbury is considering banning you and your family from shopping with us, unless your husband stops his antics. Below is a list of offences over the past few months all verified by our surveillance cameras: 1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's trolleys when they weren't looking. 2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. >3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to feminine products aisle. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone, "Code 3" in housewares..... and watched what happened. 5. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. 6. September 15: Set up a tent in the outdoor clothing department and told shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring sausages and a Calor gas stove. 7. September 23: When the Deputy Manager asked if she could help him, he began to cry and asked, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" 8. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror, picked his nose, and ate it. 9. November 10: While appearing to be choosing kitchen knives in the Housewares aisle asked an assistant if he knew where the antidepressants were. 10. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously, loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme. 11. December 6: In the kitchenware aisle, practised the "Madonna look" using different size funnels. 12. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed, yelled "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!" 13. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, assumed the foetal position and screamed "NO! NO! It's those voices again." And; last, but not least: 14. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited a while; then yelled, very loudly, "There is no toilet paper in here." Yours sincerely, Charles Brown Store Manager
How do I adapt an american video recorder to use in Spain? I have bought a hidden camera and receiver in a working video recorder (as a home security device) from America but I live in Spain (they are five times more expensive in Spain) and I now have the problem of adapting it to use here. I think I understand that I have to get a plug and voltage adaptor. Is this right? I also believe that the frequency difference 50/60htz shouldn't be a problem. Is that right? But can I use this with a Spanish tv? And can I use spanish video tape. If this sounds incredibly stupid it's because I know nothing about electronics and would appreciate some help please.
Is this a good way to protect my car? Hi. I recently purchased the new 2007 Torched Penny Scion xB and it has a simple/general security system. Anyways, my friend had her car keyed a while back & she didnt have any security system at all. Then she got some lettering put on both rear-back side windows that reads, "Protected by V-Cam Security". Now these are just words to make people believe that her car is security protected and that there are small hidden cameras on her car. The system isn't there, it not a reality, and it's just so people stay away from her car and she hasnt had anything happen ever since. Do you think this is a good idea? I don't wanna pay so much money for a high-tech security system but i want my car protected from keying, vandelism, etc. Thanks for the answers... AND DONT MAKE FUN OF MY CAR!!!! lol

I wish to start a private security company, in north carolina, what type of licensing will I need to have? It’s basically going to be me and my friend, maybe one or two other ex-cops. Primarily we’d be doing manned patrols, I'd like to offer vehicular patrols, hidden camera/mic services, nanny cams, private investigations, low profile protections, personal escorting. Later on I think being armed with firearms may be useful, but as of now I think we’d be working with non-lethal weaponry. I'm looking for any licensing requirements, how much will we need insurance for, what are the laws for civilian detainment.
How do you sneak a camera into a concert? How do you sneak a camera into a concert where there is quite tight security? How do you hide it? They will check all bags I have heard. And they wont let you in with phones. Surely they wont search EVERYBODY!! And if they are going to use metal detectors, I will put Keys in my pocket and my clothes will have metal on them (like a belt) :D Im going to Newcastle if that helps!
Cameras in churches ,temples mosques, synagogues etc? In the interest of Security why not put vedio cameras in all places of worship? Only those who have something to hide would object. Ok Jonny boy I do things in my house that i do not do in my temple, like use the bath room. May be you object because your place of worsip as yr bath room and have sex with 72 virgins there too.

A camcorder that will record for 8 hours? Is there an affordable camcorder that will record for longer periods of time? If so what kind? I don't know anything about the different types of camcorders.....Would one that recorded on a dvd or vhs tape record longer? My husband and I have been noticing suspicious things around our house and we thought we would hide a camcorder to see what was going on. We figured a camcorder would be cheaper and easier to operate than security cameras plus we could also use it on trips and at get togethers and stuff....Thanks for your help!!
