Security Advantage

I am getting a home secuity system. Should i display my security stickers?

I saw on tv one day , that you should not display your home security stickers. This would enable the theft / robber to familiarize /master your alarm system <brinks, adt, etc...> They might be able to get some default codes. and overide your house alarm... What do you think? Do you display your house alarm stickers? Thanks!

1. I would place the stickers in the windows and forget the security system.
2. Yes, I display the stickers in plain sight & I don't worry about robbers being smarter than the system. I know that when I see the stickers in the windows of other homes, that it'd be a deterent to a robber.
3. I would say yes because if a burgler was to come and see the sign then there would be a larger chance of him/her not staying and trying something sneeky and if the burgler is desperate enough to break into a home i doubt they are smart enough to hack into your system....

5. If a burglar really wants into your home, a security sign isn't going to deter him/her. All a sign is going to tell him is that he needs to go around the back of the house and cut the phone lines so that the alarm can't call the police (unless it's got a cellular back-up). Stick the signs up, so that the burglar will go onto an easier house. Might as well ask the alarm company for extras and give them to your neighbors too!!
6. Yes decals are definitely a deterrent. Signs also help.
7. Think about WHERE,WHY do you have the home security stickers and for WHAT .... right ? Of course you don't put them in your photo album,that's why you and I say: '' YES'' and show up them on your home's windows. They are like the warning signs so if you walk to some the area and then you see the sign: " GET OUT OF HERE" how do you think?
8. The staickers are more effective than the alarm. They'll deter your run of the mill burglar. A well lit yard works too. Dead bolts, and using them. Just remember, locks are for honest people. If a burglar knows alarms it doesn't really matter what brand you have. An alarm will scare off a buglar but won't keep him out. Check out that tv show It Takes A Thief. You'lll learn alot.
9. yes its always better to display security stickers and better not to mention what kind of system it is,like cctv ,alarm, ect..
