How important is private security in your?

Private security has not only become more prominent in our society in the last few years, but also more important. In what areas of your community has private security become more prominent? This could be at an airport, place of business, or where you live. How important is private security in your community? How effective is private security? What more could be or should be done?

2. It is a joke. I have to go into the water treatment facility for a large city. Most of the time I have to wake the security guard up. Most of the private security around the country is laughable it only works on people willing to follow the law terrorist don't. I don't believe the whole terrorist threat anyway.
