How true are those Brink's home security commercials?

I have always wondered with those commercials. You know when the "would be" robber kicks the door open and within 2 or 3 seconds the phone rings and its Brinks Home Security. Does anyone have any experience with this? How true is this, and how fast do they actually respond?

1. i'm pretty sure, that if a robber was to actually try to get in, he wouldn't run away at the simple sound of an alarm. and what robber is stupid enough to try to get in THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR!!!
