Has anyone an objective opinion/personal use about the effectiveness and safety about colon cleansing products?
I want to know about Advanced Acia berry Ultimafte Colon Cleanser, Bromolite, and Acia Berry Detox products. Please do not respond if you have a commercial engagement with these products. I have heard recently that Acia Berry is not safe.

- I'm not sure how to answer your question because i've never tried it. If you want to cleanse the colon, why don't you go right to the source. You can take a colonic irrigation, or a series of enemas at home and get better results.
- I know that there's been heaps of talk about colon cleansing recently, but it has been scientifically studied and proven to be useless and unnecessary. Our bodies are made to get rid of waste products and they do so very efficiently. Personal opinions are not a valid way to prove the effectiveness of any treatment. In order for a treatment to be proven effective it must pass medical/scientific tests on large groups of people. This ensures that there's no placebo result or personal bias confusing the results. People who sell these products will tell you that the 'toxins' in your colon are making you sluggish/sick/unhappy. The medical truth is completely opposite. There is no health benefit to colon cleansing unless you have a severe medical problem. People will probably post up articles which show that colon cleansing is the greatest thing ever, but do check where the articles come from... you'll find that they're from people who sell the products or people who shout the magical benefits of many unproven herbal remedies and crazy treatments. And don't just take advice from me, make sure you get your advice from medical journals and medical doctors. Here is some research on the subject that you can read through. I'm sure after reading it you'll agree that there's no benefit to colon cleansing. No scientific evidence supports the alleged benefits of colon cleansing. http://www.cancer.org/docroot/ETO/content/ETO_5_3x_Colon_Therapy.asp Colon cleansing "has no known medical value and risks damage to the rectum or bowel. The bowel is not “dirty” and, unless disease or medication interfere, nature does a fine job of clearing out wastes. If you are concerned about unwholesome substances in your body, drink lots of water to help your body get rid of them." http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/22/health/22brod.html?_r=3&scp=2&sq=colon%20cleansing&st=cse&oref=slogin&oref=slogin "Naturally, the body empties its waste once it has absorbed the required food and calories it needs for energy through the small intestine. But by taking any form of laxative on a daily basis, individuals will cause their body to lose needed nutrients and fluids and also fall out of a natural rhythm. Continued use of products for "internal cleansing" can lead to bloating, cramping, dehydration, and disturbances and imbalances in electrolytes." "A healthy colon should be able to take care of things on its own, without outside help, but this constant manipulation of the body's normal processes can interfere with natural functions. Such measures shouldn't be a lifestyle, but only resorted to in very rare medical emergencies. In such cases an enema or cleanse might be a good idea, but it shouldn't be repeated again and again." http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2004/10/colon-cleansing.html Many cleansing products appear to work when you expel a disgusting plasticy brown mess. However this is not from your body, it is formed when the cleansing product mixes with the liquids in your system. It is actually the product solidified! The people selling the products call this 'mucoid plaque'. If you'd like to see what it looks like check this out (warning, graphic and disgusting): http://www.curezone.com/image_gallery/bowelcleanse/002/default.asp?i=16&n=27
- Yeah, I have also heard that acia berry is not safe and frankly does not work. Please be careful when researching these colon cleansing products online, there are a lot of scams out there.
- Colon cleansing is only necessary when you get "backed up". "Real Life" is only half right. Colon cleansing HAS saved lives. If you have many pounds of fecal matter backed up, you are going to be fat and sluggish at best if not sick. Overgrowth of bad bacteria is a given in that situation. So naturally maintaining a clean colon by eating a lot of fiber is ideal, but if you get backed up too much I recommend NONI. It's a stool softener. Otherwise the acai berry products are just "crap". Acai berry is often poorly grown and processed too. You need to make sure you don't overdo it with harsh cleansers. Unless you're really constipated, I would just recommend some good bacteria (probiotics) to maintain health gut ecology. Also, eating a bunch of seaweed and salads will clean you out really good for much cheaper. http://ezinearticles.com/?Colon-Cleansing-Facts&id=998343
- Colon cleansing is not like the acia berry because its all about an actual build up of toxins in the colon which can lead to other problems. Some information in my source.
- Colon cleansing has been studied and the vast majority of the evidence indicates that it is unnecessary and can be harmful. There are rare cases where it may be useful, but to it do with the idea that you are making yourself healthier is not supported by the evidence. Colon cleansing is a fad that has made another appearance. As far as safety issues an occasional use is unlikely to hurt you. Looking at the risks to benefit ratio you should skip colon cleansing. There are low risks, but even lower benefit.
- As far as I know, Acai berries are powerful anti-oxidants and not colon cleansers. There are many products that help in cleaning your colons. Just remember to choose a product which contains ingredients that have been proven to be effective colon cleaners like fiber and those alike. Whatever colon cleanse products you use, they will not work if you keep on eating foods that produce toxic waste in the body. Proper diet should accompany any regimen that you have in cleaning your colons.
- theres been a lot of complaint about acai berry products, if your wanting to use a product i would advise you to ask a doctor before purchasing one to see what he/she has to say about it. I have used nature cleanse which worked well for me but may work different with other people. If you do decide to try one i would stick with one thats well known and has a lot of good reviews. Ive heard a lot about Purity 12 also. It has good ratings. If you want to learn more about them you can go here http://www.puritycleanse.com http://www.nature-cleanse.webs.com hope this was helpful.
- Have you tried anything other than Acai berry? Some studies claim that Acai berry is not safe and doesn't even work to be used as a colon cleanser. Have you already tried drinking lots of fluid and water? Drinking a cup of coffee in the morning helps too. If you want faster results, try getting a bottle through this website: http://nuurl.us/d8e6e . It's the one I've personally used to shed 7 pounds in a little less than 2 weeks. I've had a big issue with weight last year and done quite an extensive research about colon cleansing. They have a free trial period, so just try it and if it doesn't work, cancel it fast. You can find out if it works or not within a week. It's worth a shot. Hope it helps.
