- If it doesn't replicate itself it isn't a virus. It might be spyware.
- Rootkits, themselves, aren’t actually malicious. There’s no necessity for them to be malicious. It’s just they can be used to hide things. A Rootkit can keep itself, other files, registry keys and network connections hidden from detection and this is why they are so dangerous. Rootkits are used to hide the existence of Spyware, Trojans, Keyloggers and other malware on computers. They are also commonly used by hackers to hide the backdoors they install on computers. The rise in the use of Rootkits can be seen at the moment as more Spyware creators are trying to hide their installation from the evolving Spyware scanners and virus writers trying to hide their existance.
- Well designed malware (Keyloggers, spyware, worms, backdoors) are all rogue programs that steal your info or do what ever there designed to do and go unnoticed! Scareware like (Personal antivirus) screws up your computer so you can't delete it? Viruses regenerate themselves and really screw up your OS! >>>(BEWARE)<<< Never trust your drivers after you after having a virus? They can be infected and when you do a reinstall of your OS and use a driver backup program to restore your drivers your new OS will get infected and screw it all up again and again etc! For some reason infected drivers aren't detected by antivirus programs? )~8 (Top free security systems) 1. (Pctools Antivirus,Threatfire and Firewall plus).
