Can security cameras ID or come to their house of people if they have never shoplifted before?

My friend was in a department store & she went into a dressing room. She left barcode tags on the floor and a sales woman went in after her. My friend said she may have seen her when she was leaving the store noone aproached her. Can they find her adress & name from cameras?

  1. No, but they can use te images from the cameras to identiy her in the future. If they did not confront her at the time she left the store she cannot be charged, even though it sounds like she should have been.
  2. I hope she gets the electric chair.
  3. When that happens here, the store turns the video over to police. We post still pictures from the video on our bulletin board. Most of the time, one of the officers will recognize the person.
  4. No, it doesn't sound like your friend can be charged with anything at this time. However, in the future if she keeps up with this pattern then she will surely be caught and spend time in jail with other criminals that will attempt to introduce her to the other side of life that she may have hoped to avoid....
  5. If I were your friend I would send the shop back what I had taken. Certainly be prepared to never shop there again if you were with her they may keep your photo too. A lot of shops have a board in the staff room with pictures of people to report straight to security.
